Wet Fire Suppression System Inspection in Southeast MI

A wet system is the most typical system found in the majority of office buildings and warehouses. Wet systems can only be installed in areas that are not prone to freezing temperatures. This type of system is tied directly into an underground water supply and maintains constant water pressure in all of the piping. With sprinkler head activation, water is immediately dispersed from the activated sprinkler head.

Wet Fire Systems: Advantages and Disadvantages

A wet system is relatively simple and has the least number of parts, so being less complicated, it is the most reliable system. With fewer parts to inspect and, therefore, less risk of malfunctioning, it follows there may be fewer problems to address during an inspection. A wet pipe sprinkler system requires the least effort to restore and usually is back up and running quickly with a few adjustments. Other systems, like the pre-action and dry-pipe systems, are more complex and require additional effort to reset. The downside to a wet pipe system is they are not suited for sub-zero environments, so the antifreeze system may be used in certain cases.

Arbor Inspections Offers Installation and Repair Service

Arbor is prepared to offer immediate repair during a routine Wet Fire System Suppression inspection and installation of parts as needed. It is expedient to have repairs and parts installed the same day, or as soon as possible. When you realize that 98% of inspections result in service being needed, or even a small part replaced, you understand that inspections are not to be overlooked. One non-functioning part can render a system inoperable.
